Johnson Neil is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, possessing a dynamic and
versatile skill set gathered through his 33 years of working in the
construction industry, out of which 28 years have been gained in the UAE.
Building on the Civil Engineering and Quantity Surveying qualifications
attained from India, he has obtained a Diploma in Surveying from College of
Estate Management, Reading, UK and a Post Graduate Degree in Construction Law
and Arbitration from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, UK.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors – UK,
Fellow of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors - Australia, Fellow of
the Chartered Institution of Arbitrators – UK, Fellow of the Institution of
Surveyors - India. A Director and Global Vice President of the Indian Institute
of Quantity Surveyors – India and a Trustee of the International Ethics Standards
Coalition – UK.
He has extensive experience with pre and post contract quantity
surveying functions, tendering and contractual matters extending over a wide
variety of building and civil engineering projects. He has been extensively
involved in preparing feasibility studies, providing advice on procurement
strategy, preparing and reviewing tender documents and tender reports, cost
management, contract management, claims management, expert determination, dispute
resolution, mentoring and training.
Currently managing a Cost and Contract Management Practice in Dubai, UAE
since 2008 and providing consultancy services to number of reputed Clients in
the UAE including leading developers, consultants and major contractors, he has
been actively involved in training and professional development and provides
corporate training and workshops to a number of Clients on various commercial
and contractual topics.
He has been a guest speaker at various seminars and workshops and has
written number of articles on the topics including professional ethics,
quantity surveying and contract administration.
